WE ALL WEAR MASKS - ASBESTOS

Art

We came across this striking piece “Fragile” by a street artist from Dublin, Ireland. Asbestos - He specializes in mixed media artwork and explores identity.

“We all wear masks every second of the day. We cover who we truly are to ourselves and those around us. We deny how fragile we are. I wear these masks to hide the irrelevant parts of my identity, and this mural let’s my eyes speak, if not shout out how fragile I am. It’s empowering to admit that I’m fragile. Together Fragile. Together Unbreakable.” - Asbestos.

Check out his other mesmerising artworks ‘Learner’ and ‘Protect Us’ Along with his HUGE new mural ‘Pass Freely’

You maybe lucky and come across one of his ‘Lost Series’ posters or stickers - Each one asking for help locating all sorts of ‘lost’ things such as balloons & posters! Part of the artist aim was for the public to connect with him directly. An interesting concept that has people contacting him 15 years on from sticking his first poster up.
