BRITISH WOOL LICENSEE

We are proud to announce we are an official British Wool licensee.

What does that mean?

Since 1950, British Wool has managed the collection, hand grading, core testing and sale of fleece wool from sheep breeds across the UK.

Being a licensee means our supply chain has been independently veeted and given the crook of approval - our product is 100% certified British wool. It also a guarantee of ethical production.

From the very start we sourced and spoke to factories and yarn suppliers up and down the UK to ensure our products were being made from 100% British wool and not just wool ‘spun or made in the UK’. Having the British Wool crook of approval makes us very happy, and proud.

Supporting the revival of the British sheep farming & its material is at the heart of Lost Isle Project.

“If we want to be good citizens and if we want to support the farmers, we need to buy wool whenever we can. It’s frankly the only way,” … “And we should just be very disciplined about buying wool. Firstly it’s nicer, secondly it lasts a long time and thirdly it helps sheep farmers.”
